>SWISS POP, ROCK, BEAT, GARAGE from 1950-1970 This is where you find primarily the SIXTIES SOUND. Legendary Swiss garage and beat groups such as Dynamites, Sevens, Sauterelles, Dorados, Wild Gentlemen, Savages and many more - but also the more mainstream pop of those days..
> SWISS ROCK VINYL LPs and 12" MAXIS from 1971 to now An enormous variety of Swiss rock from the 1970s, 1980s, 1990s awaits you here. This ranges from synthi pop to mainstream rock, from folk to psychedelic, from hard rock to heavy metal, from pop to progrock, etc. You will find here common stock LPs but also rarities wanted worldwide, plus many records you never even heard about or perhaps didn't know they (or at least their core musicians) were from Switzerland. To name just a few groups: Baby Jail, Clue China, Brainticket, C.B. Buesser, Celtic Frost, Circus, Stephan Eicher, Flame Dream, Irrwisch, Kedama, Killer, Krokus, Methusalem, Sophie's Dream, Tea, Toad, Andreas Vollenweider, Yello, Zero Heroes, and lots more. > SWISS ROCK on 45 rpm 7" VINYL SINGLES from 1971 to now An unmatched variety of titles is featured in this our 7-inch 45-rpm vinyl singles section as well. 99% of these records come in fantastic picture sleeves! Artists include names such as those listed in the Swiss Rock LP section, plus groups like Freeway 75, Jellyfish Kiss, Joint, Kaktus, Krokodil, Krypton, Rhythm Cadillacs, and many many more.
The legendary Swiss punk records from the 1970's (and into the 80s) are presented in this section. Groups like Bucks, Glueams, Grauzone, Dieter Meier, Marcel Muth, Sperma, TNT, Nasal Boys, The Sick, and many more.
> SWISS HITS, POP + EVERGREENS from 1900-2000 (LPs) A truly enormous variety of Swiss pop hits, songs, evergreens, dance music, with lyrics in Swiss-German, German, English, French, Italian awaits you here. These recordings span almost a hundred years! They include styles such as 1920's and 1930s pop, Swiss folklore, 1940's and 1950s evergreens, 1960's Swiss ladie, male vocals - practically every style and from every decade. Many collectibles can be found here. >SWISS HITS, POP + EVERGREENS from 1900-2000 (45 rpm singles) This section features the same kind of music as the above LP section, but on 45rpm 7-inch vinyl singles and EPs. Especially collectable: the fantastic picture sleeves. Plus: there are records here hitherto unknown even to researchers and top collectors and not listed in catalogs such as the 2007-released "Swiss Singles Cover Gallery". OTHER, SMALLER SECTIONS INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING: Polo Hofer is perhaps Switzerland's top musician. With his bands such as "Rumpelstilz" or "Schmetterding" he sang his way to fame during the 1970s and 1980s. Being a ture pioneer of Swiss dialect rock and pop, he inspired many others, including present-day dialect rappers. His greatetst hit was "Kiosk". >PETER HINNEN The Swiss boy wonder turned king of yodelers, also known as the yodeling cowboy. He was enormously popular in Switzerland and Germany and the United States for his unique way of presenting yodeling in German pop songs, esepcially cowboy songs.
>SWISS FOLK SINGERS, SWISS PROTEST SONGWRITERS English-speaking collectors perhaps will not find this section of special interest to them. It contains all the legendary and ever-popular folk singer-songwriters of Switzerland from the 1970's when this kind of music had its heyday. One of the vinyl record albums listed there, however, is of wordlweide interest, because it is the first record ever made by Andreas Vollenweider in 1975, when he was part of the "Lyrik and Musik" folk trio.
>SWISS CABARET, HUMOR, MUSICAL Again, a section which is probably not of interest to the international collectors community. It includes a stupendous selection of rare Swiss cabaret and humor recordings. These recordings, most of which have never become available on CD, enjoy an everlasting popularity in Switzerland and partly also in Germany and Austria.
>SWISS LITERATURE, LANGUAGE, CULTURE This section of our website focuses on rare spoken-word ecordings of Swiss literature, Swiss dialects, Swiss cultural, political and historical events of recent years and decades, history of Swiss radio, etc.
